Nathia Gali is an attractive and beautiful mountain area of Abbottabad District. It is the most crucial spot for tourists. It is located at the center of Galiyat where all the hills of Galiyat are connected with each other and all hills name ending with "Gali". Nathia Gali is most attractive because of its Pleasant weather and beautiful scenes.

Nathia Gali is much colder than the other area of Galiyat because of its heigh. it is at the height of  2410 m from the sea level. Nathia Gali is situated about 28 km away from Abbottabad and 34 km from Murree. 

History:

During the British rule, Nathia Gali is the part of Abbottabad as serve as the summer Headquarter of the chief commissioner  of the Peshawar Division of Punjab it is the notified area of Dhunga Gali

Weather of Nathia Gali is remained cold, pleasant and foggy in the summer season. In winter season the temperature of Nathia Gali is dropped up to -10*C and in summer is up to 25 to 30*C. In monsoon, season rain is expected every day and the cold wind is starting to make the weather most pleasant. The most pleasant weather is in summer when the temperature is on 25*C and cold wind makes weather cold and foggy.

In winter season when the temperature is falling down at -10*C Snowfall is started and it is in maximum in the month of December.  Heavy Snow Fall is started and the snow is about 5 to 8 feet record in winter season.

                                 

Most of the tourists are visited Nathia Gali in the Winter Season when the snow starts and there are huge numbers of tourists are visiting Nathia Gali. Maximum tourists are from the Punjab side and enjoy the snowfall.

Transportation:

Nathia Gali is connected with the Abbottabad through the hilly Roads and it is 28 to 30 km way from Abbottabad and from Murree. Public transport is daily run from Abbottabad to Nathia Gali and from Rawal Pindi to Muree and than from Murree to Nathia Gali. Between December to February Road is blocked because of heavy snowfall and the transport is blocked for the peoples.

Drive carefully in winter season because of snowfall and these roads are very dangerous in the winter season because of slippiness on road

As the Nathia Gali is the most popular tourist spot for the tourists. Hotel, Rest Houses and cottages equipped with most facilities are available here for the tourists.

Ethnics Groups:

The main tribe of the Nathia Gali is the Karlal tribe and minority of the abbasi tribe. The main language of this area is the Hindko language.

Wild Life:

Nathia Gali is home to various species of birds, insects, butterflies, and other animals. The world wildlife fund has an office in Galiyat. Animals like leopards are in the forest of Ayubia National Park 

Horses are a common sight during the summer months. Monkeys are the most common animal of Galiyat and often seen on the side of the road.
